Occasionally, you might see images of pets on Free Pet Lotto that are widely recognised or even considered “famous” from the internet.
While we’re all here to enjoy and celebrate pets, we’d like to clarify our approach to ensuring fairness and authenticity on the platform.
1) We Can't Review Every Submission
While we’d love to review every submission, the resources required to moderate all entries are significant.
Manual reviews by humans are expensive. The software to do so is expensive.
There's so many famous pets and we don't know them all!
That said, we are committed to taking steps to address concerns about authenticity.
2) Our Verification Process
If we suspect that a user has submitted an image of a pet they do not own or if it’s reported to us as potentially stolen content, we will still honour the random draw.
However, the user will be required to verify their ownership of the pet before they can claim their prize.
This will involve submitting a photo of the pet alongside a piece of paper with the owner’s name written on it. This ensures that only genuine submissions are rewarded, maintaining the integrity of our platform.
3) What to Do if You See Questionable Content
It's important to know that even if you suspect a winner is using a pets image that does not belong to them, we have to give that user the opportunity to verify their ownership.
It's entirely possible that the owners of 'influencer pets' are members of this site, therefore if we were to issue a blanket ban across these images it could upset real players. Â
However, if you do want to report a suspicious entry, you can always email us directly and we'll take a look at the situation.
4) No Redraws for "Bad Actors"
If a “bad actor” is believed to have submitted a pet they do not own, they will simply fail to collect their prize. Random raffles will not be redrawn in such cases.
This ensures that the integrity of our draws is preserved and avoids disrupting the process for other participants. It also ensure that we can give everyone the opportunity to verify their pet without us jumping the gun.
We hope that in time, our prize verification system will act as a sufficient deterrent.
